The Final Race...
|
During his first visit to the TT races, in typical style
Marc had been giving 110% and was doing very well as a result. Even though
Marc had crashed the 600cc bike and been taken to hospital, as soon as he was
given the ok he was back into action, which was so typical of Marc's grit
and determination to succeed.
As always, Marc simply wanted to carry on with his racing. In the final race, The Senior, Marc as a newcomer was doing really well and was looking set to take a replica, which is no mean feat for a first visit to the TT! Sadly on the penultimate lap Marc crashed at the 26th milestone (Joeys) and was killed instantly. As well as Marc, two spectators also died and two more people were injured. Marc would have been devastated that other people lost their lives or were injured in the crash. Marc's death leaves a void impossible to fill, and he will be remembered by so many as not only the best road racer Norfolk has produced for many, many years but also a truly nice guy. |

Marc was someone who would always help others and brought light into peoples days with his colourful language, cheery and 'can do' attitude on life; his infectious grin, dry humour and face pulling could make anyone smile. The racing scene has lost a great talent, the world has lost a great guy. "Many Revs!!"
