Clearly the ideal package is drive and ability coupled with top mechanical engineering, however as a privateer Marc did not have the financial support to run the most advanced motorcycle technology or the back up of an experienced and well funded team.
However it is clear that with this additional financial support, Marc would have had the necessary skills to be a serious contender in the world of motorcycle road racing.
