Marc would have wanted to thank everyone involved in
helping him to achieve his goals. He was the best road racer Norfolk
had, he gave his all, and his best was nothing less than perfection.
Everything Mark turned his hand to he always gave one hundred and ten per
cent of his time and effort to. He was always in the Gym or on his
bike keeping fit for his favourite thing…racing. He was a great dad
and thought the world of his girls for whom he would have done anything,
we always tried our best to support him and in his racing career he had
built a great team, one to be immensely proud of. It was our first TT and Marc had been invited to
attend, which itself was a massive honour.
Marc had lots of friends and followers and asked them to keep in touch. I
plan to give him a great send off and I would like them all there, and I
think he would too.
Marc had just got a ride with a new team called Air Kawasaki and the
family were due to go to Scarborough with them for the first time at the
end of the month. Scarborough was his favourite racing venue and his last
time there he enjoyed outstanding success, achieving three wins, one
second and the Ian Watson trophy. He truly was flying and we were so
happy. As well as racing we spent a great weekend there with our girls and
visiting Marc's favourite place - the tea and cake shop.
On Marc's behalf I would like to also thank:
Peter Standley - his major sponsor and good friend.
Carl Harrison - for taking good care of the bike engines.
City Signs - for supplying all the stickers over the years.
John Kirk - friend and help with gaining sponsorship.
All the lads from Attleborough who chipped in, because without you it
wouldn't have been possible.
Andy Lee Trucker - sponsor and friend.
Justin Clarke - close friend and responsible for managing the Rammy Racing
website.
Jamie - his best mate and good on the spanners. He had a great deal of
help from Jamie and I know he will continue to be a massive support to me
over the coming years. You really were his best mate, thank you.
George - well, he was the No 1 manager; sweet-talking and always pulling
the strings, we owe a great deal of thanks for all of your help. Marc, the
girls and I will always be truly very fond of you.
And finally, Marc's family, thanks for all your support with the
challenging racing years. And I know I will need you over the next few as
well.
So, a final goodbye from us all, mates, family, your lovely girls Beulah
and Bronwyn, and me. Goodbye my darling - we will always love you.
